Every month in Australia, 90 children are diagnosed with cancer.
For those families, their lives are changed forever. Doing work experience as a Student Nurse has given me the opportunity to experience what the first steps of treatment can look like for these brave kids and their parents. Cancer puts families under enormous pressure. For many it can feel impossible to navigate.
This May, I am walking with my friend Taleah in the Heartbreak to Hope Walk to raise funds for Redkite to provide emotional, financial and practical support and care to families facing childhood cancer.
