On 7 May, during this challenge, I lost my Dad. A loss that changed everything for me, what began as a 150 km goal has now become something far more meaningful, so I’ve pushed myself to 175 km. The final 25 km will be for him. Every step in his memory, in gratitude for all he gave me, and in honour of the strength he taught me. He may no longer be here, but he now lives in my memories.
Faith
Such an amazing thing to be apart of. Well done to all the people spreading awareness and making a difference in these children’s lives xx

I’m walking 150 kms to get as many dollars as I can in our RedKite bucket so they can continue their vital work helping families who have a child suffering from cancer. This is my third year walking the Heartbreak to Hope walk. I was diagnosed with cancer two and a half years ago and during my treatment, I thought, how do kids do it and that is my motivation for contributing.

I’ve been blessed with four healthy kids in my life. I can’t imagine what it would be like to have our lives turned upside down by a horrible diagnosis such as cancer. My heart goes out to the families who are affected by these tragic moments. If I can raise money to support families in need and get fit while doing it then I’m happy to help. Hopefully I can help to make a difference.

Walking so everybody can be inspired to walk the path of giving!

Im doing my 100km walk, for the child of a dear friend ive know since we were children. For any other family touched by tis cursed disease. No family should suffer the loss of a child, if it's curable. So this my pledge to raise the $1000 as a minute. Life is a precious thing and should be safeguarded at all times. Namaste 🙏
Scarlett
I’m walking 50km because the stories of other families and what they've gone through really makes me upset, so I'd like to help people going through cancer and I find this cause very important because so many people have died from cancer and I'd like to drop that number by a lot :) ❤️❤️❤️
Claire
I’m walking in loving memory of my Aunty Jan. Mum’s best friend who fought hard against the disease. And my Nanna who battled with it after a long beautiful life. Every step counts. Bless you all xx
Cancer changes lives forever. It steals moments, breaks hearts, and forces families into battles no one should ever have to face. This month, Mum and I are each walking 100km for the Heartbreak for Hope Walk for Redkite — walking for every family fighting through cancer, grieving unimaginable loss, or holding onto hope through survival. This cause is deeply personal to us. We’ve seen cancer impact people we love and affect the youngest members of our family. We know the fear, the heartbreak, and the helplessness that families carry every single day. But we also know how important hope is. Every step we take is for the parents sitting beside hospital beds, the children fighting battles far too big for their little bodies, and the families trying to stay strong through the hardest days of their lives. We want families going through this to know they are not alone. If you can, please support us, donate, or share. Together we can help Redkite continue supporting families who need it most ❤️

I’m walking for the brave little tackers and their families facing childhood cancer… proper tough stuff, hey. So I figured instead of just whingin’ about sore feet, I’d make it count 👟😅 If you’ve got a couple bucks to spare, I’d be stoked for your support — every bit helps turn a rough go into a bit of hope. If not, a share or a “go on ya!” will do the trick too 🙌 Let’s get around it and do something bloody good together 💛 Cheers heaps, you legends ✨

Every month in Australia, 90 children are diagnosed with cancer. For those families, life changes quickly and brings real challenges. This May, I’m taking part in the Heartbreak to Hope Walk to stand alongside children and families that are facing cancer. Every child deserves a life filled with joy, safety, and possibility. However, for many children that is interrupted by hospital visits, treatments, and uncertainty no child should have to endure. Through my family’s experience with cancer, I’ve seen how important compassion, support, and community truly are during difficult times. This walk is about contributing in a meaningful way. By helping ensure that children and their families receive not only medical care, but also the emotional support, comfort, and encouragement they need. By participating, I hope to be part of a wider movement that brings hope where there is heartbreak. It’s about reminding every child and family facing cancer that they are seen, they are supported, and they are never alone. Together, we can make a difference by showing up, giving back, and surrounding them with the extra love and strength they deserve. ❤️🩹 Thank you 🫶
