Support our 80km Sydney Harbourside Walk for Redkite!
Every year in Australia, over 1,000 families hear the devastating words 'your child has cancer'.
For those families, their lives are changed forever and it can feel impossible to hold it together. Over the last 3 years since working at Redkite, I've witnessed firsthand the incredible work that they do with these families to help them navigate the profound emotional and practical challenges that follow a childhood cancer diagnosis. I hear stories every day from families about the impact of Redkite's services - from our Red Bag given to families' at diagnosis full of support materials and practical things, through to the counselling and peer support services they provide to improve families' emotional wellbeing and resilience.
So that's why this May, me and my wonderful friend Amy are taking on a huge challenge by walking 80km from Manly to Bondi, tracing the iconic Sydney Harbour coastline, all in support of Redkite!
As a charity that relies so heavily on public donations, we want to take on this challenge so that no family has to face childhood cancer alone.
